So I can't reset my files - help, please?
So I want to start a completely new game - tech orbs reset, experience at zero - because I haven't played in a long while and I like fresh starts. Thing is though, no matter what I do. whenever I start a new game, the game seems to return to my furthest status experience-wise. The tech orbs I've collected in a previous game are gone, and Monkey's health regenerates from the very start which it shouldn't.

I reinstalled the game twice, deactivated SteamCloud, deleted the MonkeyGame folder under My Documents (as was advised by another forum post) all of it several times. The situation remains. All I want is a complete do-over, and this *really* annoys me. What if - theoretically - I wanted to show the game to a friend who has never played it before?

Can anyone provide advice?

Now, the game supports Steam Cloud. I'm guessing that whenever you delete the saves, it will just get them back.

Thus, my IDEA would be to disable Steam Cloud in the Steam properties for this game, THEN delete the saves. When you have new saves, enabling Steam Cloud again SHOULD make Steam detect a conflict and cause it to ask you whether it should use the saves on your box, or the ones on its servers. Select the ones on your box and it should trash your old saves for good.

Steam Cloud has been deactivated for Enslaved ever since I reinstalled the game, as I've said in the original post. That is what's frustrating. I delete the saves with the Cloud off - doesn't work.

User @JorgeJunior posted a solution here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/245280/discussions/0/617320168168525987/
It turns out, the save file for the game is located in: Steam\userdata\[steam-user-UID]\245280\remote
The steam user UID is just a number, and there is prabably only one folder in the user/data-folder.
245280 is the ID for the game.
Hope this helps
