my dragon quest rankings are 11 -> 3 -> 7 -> 6 -> 1 -> 2 -> 4 -> 5 -> 8 -> 9.
11 does not need a remake, 3 and 7 just got remakes, next in line is 6. After that will be 4.
skill point system ruins 8 and 9, sorry not sorry.

How is 9's single player campaign? I've never played it.
I hope not. I don't see them capturing 6's look in a 2DHD Unreal Engine.
9's singleplayer campaign is decent. The game's biggest draw was multiplayer, grottos and postgame not the singeplayer. You create your own party like 3's. It's a you had to be there game but when I emulated it, I still enjoyed the campaign. But I'd say it's a weaker one compared to others in mainline.
