I greatly enjoyed the first Shadowverse and was happy to support it by buying cosmetics since it was quite possible for normal players to craft their preferred deck by melting down cards they did not wish to use. In this sequel, the income is DRASTICALLY nerfed (packs now cost 500 gold, gold income is ~200-400 per day compared to almost always getting enough coins for 1-2 pack buys from dailies in SV1) and you cannot melt cards unless you keep 3 or more copies, even if you don't want to play them. The free daily pack does not sufficiently offset this, since the income from melting silver rarity cards is greatly nerfed and legendaries still cost 3500 to craft. Even if it did, forcing people to open the game every day to have a hope of affording their list is cringe.

The economics of Worlds Beyond are abysmal, even with all the preregistration bonuses and tutorial income I was not able to assemble ONE deck without skimping on literal gold rarity utility cards. Whales with 10+ legendaries in their list will run over anything you can scrape together as a new player no matter how skilled you are, and this issue will only become more pronounced as expansions come out. All the other mechanical and visual polish is meaningless if f2p players cannot reasonably create an optimized deck. Do better, Cygames. We had high hopes for you.

The economy isn't as bad as people have made it out to be. I'm currently two legendaries off of getting my Portal deck 100% online and I have enough vials to craft those two legendaries. I also am just 2-3 legendaries and a couple golds off of finishing a spellboost Rune deck. I just haven't decided if I want to complete the Portal or Rune decks, or make two more Olivia's instead.

I also haven't spent *any* of my gold yet (>30k atm which is 60+ packs). Everything I have is from free packs, events, crafting, and the park's treasure chest. I will also be purchasing the battlepass in a few days after I've completed it, but I currently only have the free rewards

I did buy the 10 packs for $2 bundle (which is temporarily unavailable) and I got 10 additional packs from linking my OG Shadowverse account which had Master as its highest achieved rank.

The disenchanting change is for sure bad. But it's really the only objectively worse thing compared to the old game, and it's not a huge deal *yet*. I think it will take at least two expansions to know for sure if the economy sucks or not. For now, it's very F2P friendly.

fun game. f2p like me can survive. i got my meta runecraft deck with 9 legendary cards (now 10) within 10 days after the game released. i only used this one deck to climb, starting to save rupies and vials, got around 12k rupies, and almost 9k vials.
