Firenze Indies - 2000 Wishilists - Duck in space

Hi Ducky Friends,

First of all, I’d like to thank you all for your support! Escape From 8-Bit High has reached 2,000 wishlists!

That’s a great achievement for a solo developer like me!

Last Sunday I also attended Firenze Indies. I had the chance to show the demo to many new players, along with previews of some new sections of the game. It was incredibly useful, and I took note of all the feedback. Thanks to everyone who came by and played!

Development is going well, and we’ll soon start testing some parts of the game. Escape From 8-Bit High includes lots of choices and different paths, so testing everything won’t be easy!

I’ve just finished a new scene set on the asteroid Mine Business IV. There are so many different things Duck can do in this area that I almost lost count!

I hope you’ll have fun exploring it in the final game. I’m pouring all my passion into making this a truly epic adventure.
Also, one of the players at the festival beat my personal high score on Skate Hard, the Game Kid mini-game you can play as Duck. Now I need to practice more!

Achivements

I think three achivements didn't activate and please don't tell me you did the thing where whoever starts the demo is forced to keep an unfinished achivement count if they don't buy the full game. You know where the demo already has achivements that you can't do....

Hello Ducky friends!

I'm very happy to announce that after Steam Next Fest we are very close to 2000 Wishlists!

Thanks everybody for your support!

More important, I managed to watch many walkthroughs of people playing the demo!

That was extremely helpful!

I have now updated the demo at version 1.9:

Fixed a bug of Hank leaving the bush without really leaving it when interacting with the van
Fixed telephone hotspot in the living room (hard to click on some resolutions)
Corrected a typo in Hank presentation card
Adjusted the position of dialogues in the van scenes
Found what was causing the mouse cursor to flicker in Music Battle and Arcade scenes on some systems and fixed it
We had report of broken achievements on Win10. I am not 100% sure this is going to work, but I am now forcing Steam verification earlier in the loading. Hopefully that will make sure that when you start playing you are definitely connected to Steam. Let me know!

Please make a setting to turn that awful flickering off, it's giving me a major headeache. And give names to hotspots while you're at it.
