This game is SO FUN!!
I dont get to play it often but when i get to its fun
(I never played with Randoms before but i just might!)

Cannot recommend a game that modders can ruin that easily : exploding anyone, respawning themselves and disabling your audio forcing you to restart the game completely. Will change my review if these issues get fixed.

LOCKDOWN Protocol is a fun social deduction game in the same vein as Among Us. You're in space. Some players must accomplish tasks while others seek to betray them without blowing their cover.

Ultimately, the game was rushed out of early access while abandoning parts of the development roadmap. LOCKDOWN Protocol hit early access in 2024 with decent reception at just under 10k players, something the developers probably weren't expecting. Later in the year, the game experienced a falloff from November 2024 (8k players) going into March 2025 (1.6k players), living past the hype phase that friendslop games rely on.

Updates generally focused on cosmetics and monetization, such as skin packs and a plushie. Meanwhile, the core game rarely received gameplay updates. No new maps, but a few new weapons.

Considering as of March 18th, 2026, LOCKDOWN Protocol still sees 100-400 players at a time, there is a small community here. So seeing the critical comments on the developers decision to abandon LOCKDOWN Protocol, it makes sense.

Ultimately, I think the developers made a game that performed better than what they were expecting and they struggled to find ways to improve it without potentially hurting the gameplay. So they left it alone beyond small updates and monetization via skin pack DLCs, eventually abandoning the game altogether.

In the end, I can't recommend the game. Not solely because the developers' decision to abandon further updates, but because they still post fan art on their socials. They abandoned a community that they still use to market their game. That's just poor sportsmanship.
