Update for April 13, 2026

Hello everyone, hope your April is going well so far! I have uploaded a new build of Toyful Wonderworld that will hopefully fix some issues that players have been having.

Added a treasure counter to the in-game map's legend
F12 should allow you to take pictures with the Steam overlay
Changes made to how Achievements are given, which will HOPEFULLY fix the silent crash issues that players have been experiencing
Improvements made to ambient sound systems to improve performance
Fixed a wall that could be walked through in the Playroom Pavillion level
Fixed an area in the Moonblight Gardens level where MOONFACE could attack you near the covered exit
Minor fixes to Spydra and Talking Burger enemies
Lessened the ammunition given on harder difficulties
Strengthened some enemies on harder difficulties
Fixed multiple spelling, grammar, and date errors for the Computers
Confetti Mines will activate from a further distance, making them easier to detect
Fixed an issue in the Bewilderland Park level that could cause you to warp outside of the map from the mansion area
Other optimizations to help improve performance

I also want to take the time and thank everyone who has supported Toyful Wonderworld so far, and who've also alerted me to many of these issues. I've mentioned before that my programming skills leave much to be desired, but I'm certainly trying my best to improve the game however I can.

I also appreciate all of the positive reviews and kind words! Even though I don't get to respond very often, let it be known that I've read all of the reviews and discussions, and it's been such a pleasure to see the enjoyment you all have been getting from this project. So again, thank you!

We're slowly getting more people to experience this crazy world I've put together. If you've enjoyed your experience so far, please spread the word! Every little bit of support helps, and I'm optimistic about the game's future. In the meantime, don't hesitate to let me know of any other issues you come across, ESPECIALLY if a crash is involved. Finished the game at 100%! Thoughts and Feedback

I’ve finished the game at 100%! I loved it! In addition to my review posted earlier, here are a few elements that could be nice to add: -The ability to rebind keys -Add symbols for teleporters on the map -The arenas are sometimes too punishing: if you die once, it becomes almost impossible to succeed afterward since you have no armor and you’ve used up your ammo. What could be good is that if you die in the arena, you lose one life but respawn in the exact state you were in before entering the arena...

Small Update for April 6, 2026

This small patch fixes a few issues and adds some QOL updates.

in-game map legend added
in-game map will slightly adjust to the character's position
improvements to ambient sound system
EASY difficulty level will remove the game's stalking monsters
levels that contain a stalking monster will be labeled differently on the map
some ACHIEVEMENTS added to the game, including multiple secret ones
fixed the issue where the shooting gauge appears to the side in widescreen
burritos and chips added because I forgot to put them in earlier...
other minor bug fixes and improvements

Message to visitors of Toyful Wonderworld!

The time has come for Toyful Wonderworld to open its doors at long last! On April 3rd, you will be able to explore this weird place, defeat many crazy Toyfriends, and discover the secrets of this wonderous place! I would like to thank everyone who has been supportive of this project, all the way back to when it started as a Bad Toys fangame. Since then, it has evolved into something even more crazy and bizarre and colorful, yet it still proudly displays its inspiration of the original toy shooter.

I would like to note that this is the first game I've ever released on here, and the first full game I've ever developed in general. I'm working to ensure that everything is as optimized as I can make it with my limited programming skills, but there is always the possibility that there are bugs and glitches that I may have missed. In fact, I'm almost certain of it. That being said, do not hesitate to notify me on the discussion page here if you come across anything that seems to be off or not working properly. I will actively work to resolve any issues that are found to the best of my ability and update the game as needed.

Anyways, however this release goes, I truly hope you all enjoy exploring the most joyful Toyful Wonderworld and battling the many crazy characters I've created here. They are waiting to meet you all, ON THE BATTLEFIELD!

Oh, also, the game will be 25% off for the first two weeks after release. So uuhh, YAY!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... When I was a little kid my parents bought a Windows 95 PC and that computer came with a free game pre-installed called "Bad Toys 3D" it was the first FPS game I ever played and I was absolutely obsessed with it for many years. I never beat it because I was just a dumb little kid but I played it nigh every day every afternoon after school it was my favorite game. The company that made it I think was called Teebo Software or something along those lines and I have secretly harbored a wish for decades that I would eventually see Bad Toys 3D available for purchase on Steam.

Well, here it is. This is essentially it. I assume the dev built this game on top of the original and changed the story/visuals etc. but this is Bad Toys 3D or at least a spiritual successor to it. I have no idea if the developer was initially involved with the creation of the original game or how this came to be but I appreciate it.

This is a genuine blast from the past for me I don't think I've ever met anyone else in my entire life who played Bad Toys 3D so I assumed it would just be lost to time but here it is. Stellar find a few days before my 35th birthday, lol.

Map waypoints - are there any?

Hi, liking the game so far. Some of the maps are huge and can be confusing as to where to head to for the next access point/switch etc. Are there way points on the map ( i cant see any) or can we get some if not.

some bugs and a question.

This is a list of bugs I found during my first playthrough of Toyful Wonderworld. I'm not sure if any of these were fixed on the sixth but I'll list them regardless. *The smaller spiders that drop from the regular Spydras can get stuck on and in the walls when they jump out of the Toyfriend. *Fake burgers (or whatever they are called) can be shot and destroyed by the revolver while sleeping if far enough away. (other weapons don't seems to do this.) *The last couple Toyfriends that spawn in an area may...

Level 21: game crashed at the ending/score screen

At the end of level 21 (Deepsea Aquazone), when I finished the level on hard mode and got to the score screen and I pressed enter, the game crashed. Sadly, the progression was not saved. I'll try the level again later; I don't know if it was bad luck or a bug specific to that level....

This perfectly captures the magic of 90s shooters like Bad Toys 3D or Wolfenstein. The enemies have fun designs and are unforgiving, but not frustrating. The environments are made with care and I especially enjoy the art style. It's a great blend of those old school hand drawn textures with the slickness of a modern game engine.
This game was made with so much heart and attention to theme. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes boomer shooters or played Bad Toys 3D as a kid like I did.
