It's always the same. The same as it was with Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero for me.
Characters are interesting, gameplay is fun enough and the story is intriguing, so for a while you tolerate the annoyances.

So what are these annoyances? I'll tell you:

- When a (new) character and/or weapon is on rate-up there is a high chance (50%) that when you finally pull an Elite it's not gonna be that character/weapon. I can not believe that gacha game companies still refuse to give you a 100% chance for a character or weapon after spending money. This point ties into the next one:

- Even if you get the character that you want you won't have the full character. If you want the full ability set of a character you'll have to get 6 duplicates, so 7x the same character in total. Absolutely ludicrous.

- After getting a character you want you will have to go through the hell that is attachment farming. Basically accessories with Set-bonuses for your characters. It is an absolute RNG fest that will not let you get your character that you paid money for decently set up, before wasting a significant amount of time.

- Dev laziness: Gunsmoke Frontline is what kept me interested in this game for as long as it has. It's basically a mode that opens every 2 weeks in which you and your platoon (basically your guild/clan) fight a boss to get as many points as possible for rewards. The better you synergize your fireteam and play around the bosses' mechanics the better your score. The last boss the Devs introduced was not as fun to play around as the former 2. They could have added the new boss to a rotation but no, they let you fight the same unfun boss 3 times in a row now, over the course of i believe 9 weeks.
There are also a lot of voicelines and background story missing from characters that have been in the game since launch.
