It's World War One but with bunny girls and surreality.

If you don't care about the long of it, then just so you know: This is probably my favorite visual novel, it has an incredible soundtrack and a setting worth cozying into and investing in for it's runtime, and I really think it's great. You should play it and experience it for itself yourself.

That being said, for every beaming bit of personality and incredible gentle-yet-personal storytelling this VN has it feels it has an equal and opposite amount of just kind of bizarre and "not properly built up to random stuff" when it comes to the last quarter of it and it's ending. Playing through the ending the thing I thought of most as a comparison point was Firewatch, and if you've ever played that game and experienced it's ending you would know why that's just such an immense letdown.

I genuinely can't be upset at this VN, it's art and environments are just so personal and comforting, but I really can't adequately express how disappointing and out of place I think the random addition of what felt like someone's self insert sonic OC in the form of "Yunozha Moonbeam" to bring in an entire chapter of unwanted high stakes last second secret military technology worldbuilding really was. It really felt like thee authors wanted to tie this in to some bigger universe or something last second and it really sort of betrayed the slow build up of military intrigue you're investing yourself in happily for the entire duration of the VN up to this point.

Either way, what this VN does right it does right for the outstanding majority of it's runtime and again, I really just can't bring myself to be all that critical of it. It's just an excellent little journey and I think it's truly great. I encourage you to take the time to read it for yourself and get lost in it's fun little world.
