this game changed my life. incredible story, i will never ever forget it.

Runs great, looks great, boots up faster than it does on mobile. No emulators needed. Been a long time coming. Welcome, Blue Archive!

Quick review:
- Story is really good. As with everything, the start is a little slow. Picks up a bit after. It doesn't extend plot points too much. Arcs are generally resolved in their own stories (E.g. Game Dev Club story is separate from Abydos story, etc) aside from the overarching story stages. Main story tends to have a much more serious tone whereas events generally have the more silly/goofy stories. If you aren't too interested, the story skip button summarizes the story for you.
*The story stages and actual mission/combat stages are separate, letting you focus on either story or just levelling up.

- Music is a banger. All catchy tunes, the really sad ones do hit hard on the depressing scenes (which there is surprisingly more than expected for such a bright game). Infamous Aris BGM included (it's not even her BGM to begin with lol).

- Gameplay is good. Squad of 4 with 2 supports. Use their special skills when you have enough points, otherwise they play themselves (autobattle exists). The real tactical part is when you start doing raids. Team comp, skill order, timings, etc matter and even unpopular units can get meta for specific raids. PvP exists but not necessary, mainly being a source of free gems once in awhile.

- Characters are all fantastic (slight bias for me based on my two steam profile showcases lol). I believe all characters have a special CG during their bond stories. Levelling them up is typical gacha. Levels, skill levels,and equipment levels are the meat and bones. Weapon level once you max out a character. Maxing out a character is fairly easy. Many game modes included that I didn't mention since it's not the main gameplay. There's generally a character for everyone! (Totally not biased btw but Kazusa and Kikyou are the best).
*There is a sweep function to skip stages that have been cleared already.

- On premium currency, it's good. There's enough to guarantee if you save up. Many events and giveaways too that leads to free tickets or currency. Raids are easy sources of premium currency and can be done quickly. Just be smart with premium currency and don't blow it onevery banner because admittedly not every character is good. I've been playing for awhile and pretty much was able to get resources to max out multiple characters so it's completely possible to be f2p and be strong.

Possible cons is the amount of menus in the game to do dailies (really bad/slow on mobile).

The game is free so it doesn't hurt to just try it out.

Blue Archive has fundamentally changed my life, by introducing me to the most beautiful angel to exist throughout the world. Aikiyo Fuuka.
There is no one throughout Kivotos who matches the gentle warmth and comfort that Fuuka provides to my soul. Fuuka is the light at the end of the tunnel, the motivation to keep pushing through. Her simple beauty does not need to be flashy and bright to capture my attention; she captures my eyes simply by her presence; her aura. Her vibrant red eyes are like rubies, a symbol of her strength in character, her love and passion; both for me and her cooking. Her black hair with subtle purple and blue shading is beautiful, especially the framing strands of hair laying atop her horns. Her horns themselves are gorgeous in their own right, the red highlight at the point of either horn makes her shine yet more. Her halo is red, just as vibrant as her eyes. The sharp points in her halo, balanced out with the gentle curves in between make for a beautiful halo that needs not be flashy to be gorgeous. On her regular outfit, her twin tails make her look so cute, and make me want to protect her with my life. Her clothes resemble that of a maid, with the white highlights on the black dress. Her outfit is as beautiful as it is useful, a perfect length that makes her always ready to make tasty meals for Gehenna. She wears a yellow bandana on her head, evidence of her care and professionalism in the kitchen; furthermore it is adorable. Her yellow tie matches with her bandana, with a red tie head that makes her main colors shine even more. Finally, she wears a giant red ribbon on her back; it not only makes her dress more suited for kitchen work, but it also is extremely adorable. On the new years she wears a kimono that leaves me jaw dropped. Her hair is put up into a bun, covered in flowers. Her hair is stylized in a way that highlights the beauty of her face, and makes her look even more like an angel. Her fur neck collar gives her a mature look, which further amplifies her wife-look that she has with her kimono. Truly whenever the new year arrives, I want to fully declare to her over and over again, “I love you, Fuuka”. In her casual dress style, she lets her hair down. The beauty of her hair is left to shine as brightly as the sun, and her white and blue dress makes her even more adorable. I wish nothing more than to arrive home after a long day of work to see Fuuka– my wife, dressed in her casual wear welcoming me home. Her necklace with a heart symbol makes my heart flutter, it makes me want to give her all the love she deserves. Her white hat is so big, so fluffy! I want to hug her that much more. Fuuka is truly the most beautiful being of Kivotos, she is the shining star of my world. Fuuka is an angel, who lives among the chaos of Gehenna, yet brings to it joy and care. Fuuka does not simply make food for the need to eat, yet instead she puts her max effort into even the largest of meals. Every meal that she blesses by making is made with care and passion for the meal. In the new years, she fought tooth and nail against Kaizer, not with her fist, but with her sheer passion for cooking. She demonstrated to Kivotos that the quality of a meal stands miles atop the quick and easy methods used by the corporations for efficiency. Fuuka is a kind soul that blesses kivotos every day, and the shining angel of Gehenna. There is so much more I wish I could write about, about her bravery on the main story, and the cuteness that is her momotalk stories, yet I can’t share without spoiling why Fuuka is the most beautiful angel to ever exist.
