I don't play tower defense, too hectic of the stressful variety, but I enjoyed this. dave's gibberish is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying and michael jackson zombie followed its inspirator to the grave, but they didn't remove the original and its demo after the overpriced remake came out, so it can still be had for $5 or less instead of a ridiculous $20.

as always, runtime isn't playtime, I played the retail version way back when. only bought it on steam as backup and had to launch it to be able to post a review because it clearly needed one more. my old save crashes the game (an achievement still unlocked first), but I could recreate my progress in a new save with the user file editor, so all's well. the rest of the achievements didn't pop on steam but are intact in-game, fine with me.

The classic game everyone loves, without the AI upscaling from Replanted, without the ads and pay-to-play- ish features from the mobile port. Active modding community and generally an amazing game from our childhoods. If I could give this a double thumbs up, I would.

I love this game so much. Probably the best game ever made. 10/10, no notes.
