A great introduction to the upcoming game. I really love the mechanics of setting your trailer up.

The fact that you have to get outside the truck to detach the cables and the fifth wheel and drop the supports makes the game fun and realistic. This is something a lot of trucking simulators don't do (pointing at you, SCS Software, lol). This will definitely put the game on top of other trucking sims.

The visuals are great and don't even get me started on the optimization. I haven't seen this good optimization on newer games in AGES!! Even though the minimum requirements show 16gb of RAM, I can safely say my 8gb was enough to run the game at a smooth and stable 60 FPS on medium settings with the best anti-aliasing. Gotta love that.

Reminds me a lot of American Truck Simulator considering the truck in the introduction is a long nose cab which are usually seen in the US. But that is because there hasn't really been any competition for ATS. With it's release, I'm more than sure that Truck World: Australia will set new groundrules for trucking sims.

Next I want to mention the trucks. Considering this is only the prologue we can't expect that much content, but we could see two types of trucks. The more "Australian" trucks aka the long nose cab trucks and also cab-over trucks. And if I'm not mistaken there was also at least one European style cab-over truck. This is really good for the game and the players. It nails the Australian trucking scene while still giving a big variety of trucks to choose from to players.

One thing that kind of bugged me was the physics. I haven't been behind the wheel of an actual truck so I'm not sure about the realism of the driving physics, but in curves the truck started sliding a lot uncontrollably. I feel like the truck could have a little bit more grip at higher speeds (not much, but just a little bit more). But either way that is a good way to make sure the player doesn't drive too fast (I drove 80+ km/h to the curves most of the time when I started sliding xd)

About the map, it's very desert like which suits Australia very well in my opinion from what I've seen in videos and photos of the Australian trucking scene with road trains. In the full release of the game I hope we will see at least the Super Pit gold mine along with the Eyre Highway that's located on the Nullarbor Plain (the highway has the longest straight stretch of road in the whole country being 146.6 kilometers).

Overall I give this game a 9 out of 10. If the physics got changed a tiny bit to not slide too much I'd give the game 10/10 thanks to optimization, graphics and the feeling you get. Also I hope we will get some type of mod support or cheap truck DLC's with the games release or maybe in the future after the release :)
