Disgaea 2 deserves SO MUCH better than this.

Well IMO disgaea is not about high graphism, heck the only thing most disgaea fans care/expect is a funny story along a strong gameplay that will make them farm for hours and beat stronger and stronger ennemies.

You must not know NIS then. Its quite obvious its a troll move on their part. They had HD sprites of a majority of the characters and classes in this game they could have used. They are one of the most troll game companies after all.

I bought the day 1 copy of la pucelle when it was published by mastiff. And all my disgaeas from 1-3 are day one copies. I’ve been playing nis since high school.

This version isn't without issues, but... that thing in the screenshot? There's nothing troll about it, they just recycled and downscaled the sprite used in Tera Wind. Normally it's about as big as the screen, of course it would look high res.

And the sprites looking butchered is due to the filter used, not that the other is great either though.

it has to be a joke though. it absolutely has to be. because NiamhNyx said it is, and I'm just an idiot that lets jokes fly over my head, even though they aren't there.

thank you for clarifying why the random HD sprites are there. doesn't really excuse them, it looks terrible there. I don't recall these events being in the PS2 or Vita version, no idea why these were added. the portraits of the characters you get look dreadful and stick out like sore thumbs when next to the disgaea portraits.

Literally everything you've been saying has had ZERO value. SleepingSeaweed already explained it perfectly. And you go on and on about how it's a "joke". I usually don't bother interfering in these kind of stuff, but this is starting to get out of hand and off-topic. SleepingSeaweed gave the technical and most likely explanation on why those pics are as they are, but I can't say whether the graphical issues in those specific events were left due to lazyness, comical relief, both or neither, and we'll most likely never know unless the devs themselves comment on it, so there's no much point in arguing over it.

I'm not going to order anyone to do or not to do anything, but simply kindly ask that you respect each others' point of view and accept that you may not see eye to eye regardless. If you still must claim or deny whatever, please keep things civil.
