Playing Half-Life: Opposing Force after finishing Half-Life was really fun. I liked seeing the Black Mesa incident from another perspective as a soldier. The new weapons and enemies were cool.

Overall, it’s a great game!!!

Adrian deserves better

Woah, Opposing Force is the kitchen sink, innit?

You get to see all kinds of toys thrown right in your face, all the enemies, multiple bosses, even helicopter fights! I now realize half the assets in CS1.6 was from Half-Life heavily inspired by this game in particular, the machine gun!

Would recommend playing only after the original Half-Life and Blue Shift. Again, it's more story, canon, probably, and more Xen stuff, and more g-man appearances, and you can hold E on your medics to heal and you can fist even more vile creatures as organic weapons from alien worlds, and fight the black ops... yeah all that, but it feels like it could have had a couple more polishing passes, you know? Shrinking the story a bit would also make it better.

I'm happy to have experienced, long overdue of course, but never too late. Can recommend!
