If you want to start a new game, you will have to manually delete the folder with your save files. Since so much stuff carries over between playthroughs, we didn't want people to do this accidentally and therefore didn't implement the option to reset all game data from the options menu.

Is there any benefit to resetting your saves? Certain endings playing out differently if you get them in a different order, or something like that?

There is if you want to make a gameplay of it, you are missing the start of the game. Since every time you say now game, you start in the house after your first night.
Has anyone been able to delete their save files to play a fresh start? I want to save my current progress but just experience all fresh again. Deleteing the save folder doesn't yield any result, even deleted the archive file.

I've tried my steam versiona nd the drm-free version but they seem to be connected somehow.

Edit: Ok so, apparently it has 2 save file locations; in the game location and the AppData/Roaming/RenPy folder.

Edit2: If you want to keep your saved data from being overwritten, disbale steam cloud saves in the property settings and zip all the files in the saves folder before deleting.

Just bad i got home form work now i could have told you that

Delete Steam\steamapps\common\Angels with Scaly Wings/game/ "save" Folder
Delete C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\RenPy/Angels with Scaly Wings

Right click on the game in Steam Library click on Properties and click on Update then turn off Steam Could.

Now the save should be delete and if it dont work try Verify Integrity of game files

it diddnt work at all for me i did everything this guide told me to do.

What OS do you use?

Please note that Steam used Cloud Saving. So if you delete your saves, Steam will likely re-download them.

Right click the game in your Steam Library list and choose properties. Under the UPDATES tab, should be the option to disable Steam Cloud.

Once its disabled, delete the save games in the locations the guide specifies.

Start the game. Once you make a new profile and make some progress, you can then enable cloud saving again.

*Thumbs up*

it should not Re-download the savegame before you start the game. but yes turn off Steam Cloud first could be better.

Actually, that's how Steam Cloud works.

When you start a game, and it has this feature, it will compare your current saves to the ones in the cloud. If your saves are older than the cloud or don't exist, then they are downloaded.

When you exit the game, it uploads your new saves to the cloud.

yes i did it the mistake i made was that i turned save cloud back on again after deleting the save files and then they kept coming back but now i deleted them and save at the very first moment of he game when it ask me what character i want to be so i can always start with someone new.
