Twenty-five years ago, on March 15th, 2001, a small RPG from Germany called Gothic was released — and it quickly grew into one of the most iconic franchises in the genre. Over the years, it has also built something truly special: a huge and incredibly passionate community that, even after 25 years, is still active, creative, and full of energy.

The Gothic community has always been the beating heart of this franchise. Your passion, dedication, mods, discussions, and countless memories have kept the world of Gothic alive for a quarter of a century.

Today, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive are celebrating this anniversary together with all of you. Our goal is to help this legendary series continue to live and grow — by bringing Gothic to new platforms, reimagining the classic games, and staying closely connected with the players who made it all possible.
