[OLD} Bug Reports
Hi everyone,

Sipho is in active development - new things are coming to the game and might not work well together with others in unforeseen ways. We do our best to test the game, but some bugs slip through. Let us know if you find any obvious and non-obvious issues with Sipho. Visual content, like screen shots or gifs made with Gyazo or ShareX work the best. Make us blush! :steamfacepalm:

Please, use this thread to report issues you find in Sipho.

Some issues might already be fixed in [staging] builds. You can check what's the latest build in Releases forum.

Update: Please create separate threads for each bug report or post in similar issue threads!

If you kill someone near the wall, then some fragments may appear inside the wall and be inaccessible.

Not too sure if this is a bug, but the Muck zooid's Muck Mines slow down the player as well. Sadly, I don't have a gif, however, it should be easy to see this glitch in action once you use the Muck zooid and move into a Muck Mine's puddle.

Also, the Cra'Than Boss'(Third Boss) stage has an infinite nutrient exploit: If one were to quit the boss fight at any time and go back in via the continue button, one will be placed at the are before the boss fight (the encounter/fight is also restarted). However, the nutrient level of the player will still be saved, as such, if a player can obtain the 3 "bait" nutrients and quit mid-fight, one can farm an infinite amount of nutrients (although the process is slow).

Thank you for reports!
- Consumables get stuck in walls - noted.
- It's possible to exploit pre-spawned food - noted.
- Muck slows you down as well - this is intended as the goop is considered to be physical thing that everything gets caught in it. But this behavior might be too much of a downside of using Muck. Having no slow down for it's owner, Muck might become too similar to grappling hook and stunner zooid. We will consider this.

Found another bug, and this time, it's a returning one...
**The "odd placement" glitch.**

BUG1 Death and pressing space:
I had the game hang up when I died and pressed [Space] for editing. The music was still playing but the game would not take any more inputs:

BUG2 Placement overlap:
Found a litte exploit to make parts overlap. The parts have to be rotated 180° and then moved quickly in place and released before the program can apply the rotation. If done correctly the part is placed and rotated anyway ignoring the overlap:

BUG3 Placement with a little nudge:
A minor way to place two parts closer together is by using a third part as helper in advance. The new part orients itself to the helper and moves a little bit closer to weapons for example:

I can't open up any of your images - neither T[-]3_3RR0R™'s - Steam says it was removed, nor Gameforger's - just opens up my dropbox.

- The odd placement - we have a fix for 0.1.5 ( currently staging) version of one occasion - saving your design. You can still theoretically get mangled up if you're editing your Sipho while being deformed.

- BUG1 Death and pressing space - sounds like something easy to reproduce, noted

- BUG2 Placement overlap - would like to see the gif, but it sounds like it would be plausible

- BUG3 Placement with a little nudge - without seeing gif I think that could be by design. Heads are slightly larger than Structure zooids which can cause all kinds of weird stuff to happen. As long as it is consistently reproducible, we can keep it. I've also experimented with different sized structures, which we might use in the future - that would shake up things even more.

Thank you for your reports!

Welp, the above gif should be visible now, as I accidentally set it to "private" when I first uploaded it. Oops.

Anywho, I've found a small issue that most have missed:

I updated the image Links, they should work now.

I encountered a game-breaking bug, not necessarily crashing the game itself, but forcing you to restart. Warning, spoiler ahead. Once the third boss appears in the Pass of Mhajh'tha, swim directly down and break through him. Stay down there and fight off all of the little guys which come after you. This allows you to get a lot of nutrition. After you've killed all the little guys, you can swim back up and kill the boss. Once you dive, though, the next level doesn't load and you are returned to the main screen. This happened to me in the Sipho demo on the website, but I was able to click continue on the main screen and the level loaded properly. However, in the full release, the level still doesn't load, so you have to start a new game. It's possible that this is because my computer isn't great. Here are my specs for the Developer, in case it helps:

CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana Triple-core 3.3 Ghz
GPU: GeForce GTX 460 1GB vRam
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333 Mhz

Still love this game!! Even though it's annoying to have to restart, it's still fun!

Thanks Dev.!

When I traveled into the sprangeled greens the map did not load, when it loaded I was inside of a wall, causing my creature to become horrifyingly stretched out. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1566631208

Also after going to the menu and going back to the save the majority of my creature is gone.

Thank you for reports!
Some issues have been fixed in 0.1.7 which is in [staging] branch (you can opt-in by opening Sipho Properties and going to BETAS tab to select [staging] branch).
Issues that have been fixed are:
- Dash icon and tutorial texts
- Loading to area of nothing or on top of rocks
- Various bugs caused by entering cinematic mode/input lock not at expected time
- Food and DNA getting stuck in walls
- Fixed one memory leak related to player saving. Game should be more stable in long playthroughs

I somehow managed to sell my core part in the editor, then the game refused any input. I clicked quickly so I don't know how I did it.

It appears that the player's sizzler does not stun as much as enemy sizzlers.

This could be caused by: 1) I have extra sizzlers on the back of my character. It's possible that it's not registering the one in the front. 2) A lot of my failed stuns were point blank against weapons in contact with the sizzler, despite enemies being successful in this situation.

@Gameforger - thanks for reporting, we will take a look.
@Patashu - sizzler gathers X amount of zooids in range and then tries to stun each of them until Y amount is stunned. It could be that X is too low. We will take a look, thanks.
