Devs stopped producing content and patches for this game 3-4 years ago and it shows. It still has some of the worst co-op features I've ever seen. The kick system is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, won't let you remove disruptive or afk players unless they start killing you. The game has been out for awhile and somehow every console player still eats glue when they play it. The multiplayer experience sucks but it's fun to kill zombies. Don't buy unless it's DEEPLY discounted. With all that said, I will be adding this game into my rotation as once you get a premade group the game is actually quite enjoyable.

- EDIT: I've found that the perniciously abundant consumption of adhesive isn't limited to those on console. The only people playing this game are the slime that refuses to come off of your boot. Stuck to this game like a bad case of fleas. Petty, childish, dare I say ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ losers. Stay away from this game as both itself and the people who play it are slime.

A spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead series, Back 4 Blood delivers tense, frantic co-op zombie shooting that shines when you’re playing with a group you trust and have fun laughing it up with. It’s built around teamwork and shared moments of chaos and survival, the gunplay is satisfying, the dynamic AI Director keeps encounters fresh, and the card system lets friends craft synergistic playstyles together.

p.s., If you don't have a friend named Joe to save you, it will be more difficult. I also recommend Joe! We (totally) have to carry Joe in all our games.

People gave this game a lot of grief for not being Left 4 Dead 3, and when they finished support for it and did not release mod tools, they gave it even more grief. The reality is, this game is incredible. The card system was fixed to feel fun and engaging while also making sure your build is online from the start, there is plenty of content, challenges, and things to unlock (especially if you're going after ZWAT skins).

Yes, it's not limitless like Left 4 Dead 2, but it doesn't need to be. The gun play, level design, mutators, character abilities, and pacing all feel great.

Left 4 Dead 2 will forever be legendary, but if you want better gun play and movement, some new and unique mechanics, and more of that style, this is the place to be. It usually goes on sale for dirt cheap and is easily worth the like $10 for the ultimate edition, as the DLCs are fantastic.
