If such things don't drive more engagement, there comes a point it's simply not worth the effort/money/time/resources/etc.

There have been sales without cards before, doesn't say anything. Could even be possible that they now only do it with the Winter sale, for example.

Nobody knows for sure, I doubt even Valve knows yet.

That doesn't mean it's worth the effort/resources/time/etc for a company.

People always seem to forget that companies have very different preferences/priorities/interests.

Some people like to put value into something worthless. For the actual why you should ask those people, but usually it's related to self-worth and mattering.

Oh so people are really crying over steam not giving them a few pennies? Even working a minimum wage job will make you ~$7 for an hour what use is a few cents?
