There should never be aim assist in a PC game. Period. End of.

My opinion.

I would generally prefer it if games are smart about what I want to hit. Or even letting you lock onto enemies -- particularly bosses, so you can run around while still keeping the lock on it.
I turn it off, but for people who do use it I see no reason to not keep it as an option.

It really doesn't matter about our opinions. It is staying no matter what.

Well, for MP if they're going to do this "crossplay", for most players they're gonna want aim assist, if they're on consoles.

But for me, i don't play games for the competition. I play it for the immersion.

And so any game that has aim assist, i shut it off, being with it off, it's like shooting a real firearm.

You're gonna wobble, and it's not easy under fire to get a good target. And so no aim assist makes for a more realistic experience (to the extent it's a video game) and so i opt not to use it.

However, against PC players, you're not gonna get many kills. You have to play to enjoy the game, not for K/D ratios.

There should be optional aim assist (only in SP/non-competitive games?) as an Accessibility feature for people with hand issues.

Regardless of aim assist or not, using a mouse or controller to shoot in games will never be "like shooting a real firearm". Just like you can't learn to drive using Forza or GTA.
