Every Sale Same Prices
I don't look forward to any Steam sale now because prices are always the same even when a game has a mid week sale it's exactly the same as in these sales. No wonder I check Cdkeys every month and watch them drop lower than Steam and buy from there

Agreed i don't bother with sales anymore, Prices of games became so high 20-50% off is meaningless.

I just avoid buying new games these days.. It has to be something serious i love to pay full wack on a game now. Which is rare these days.

I also stopped pre ordering.
This logic has been true for ages now which is why I simply don't buy much anymore all thanks to gamepass. I only purchase extremely popular games that aren't on gamepass like GTA 6 etc.
the fact that some of the games aren’t even at historical lows 😐😐

I'm stopping at Level 420, been hitting up TF2 and CS2 forever, only 2 games I really even play and the lootboxes along with the trading card games but I now own pretty much everything under 2.00$ that they are putting up for sale now and humble raising prices, not worth it to me anymore after 10 years of this the profiteering is out of control.

Is a known. Publishers know plenty of people purchase during these sales no matter the discount.

The better discounts often are with smaller publisher or themed sales.

That said, are people really surprised that publishers recognise the purchasing behaviour of their customers and adjust their pricing strategies accordingly?

I remember a couple threads where I actually tried get people out of that summer sale hype to help said people spend less money but nope, the hype is all-too-real. Hell, I'd abuse the ♥♥♥♥ ouf of people hyping themselves blind too, if I was a videogames publisher.

but gta 6 isnt out, how you purchase that ?
Indeed. How dare devs demand money for their work. It's not like they have bills to pay. They don't need to eat, so they don't have to worry about the price of eggs. They don't need a roof over their heads, so they have no mortgages or rent to pay. Walking is perfectly acceptable for them, so they don't have to worry about the rising price of gas. Hell, they don't need money for anything, so we should never have to pay a single red cent for any game, ever. They are nothing but greedy inhuman bastards!

Maybe their AAA publishers could lend some of their billions to them..

Indies sure but you know exactly what most here are saying, by the way we need to do all that as well before buying their $200 games..

If it was about that then I would agree, it's the big companies raising prices just cuz they can not the indie devs...A bag of Utz potato chips family size is now half the size it was a few years ago, it's shrinkflation and they are just doing it cuz everybody else is doing it. No other reason that I see
