my friend sent me a free game beta trial in steam for subnautica 2, but lucky i did not click it yet. 5 min later he sent message not to click it as it's a scam and it hacked his account. most links we think should be safe that we get on steam. but these hackers are finding ways. don't use links for games that are not fully vetted by the store. its easy to want to share links with our friends but i think it's best to just let them know the game is available and let them find it..

I see posts of a lot of folks hacked lately and even with 2 part authenticator . that does scare me, i thought that was the best protection. guess not, I hope steam gets on this and finds a fool proof way of protecting our accounts
