But pretty much any hentai game is potentially on the chopping block. They're only going after certain themes for now, but there's no telling how this will evolve over the next few months. I wouldn't be surprised if high production value games like "Snow Daze" (look it up yourself) start disappearing from the store over the next few weeks.
That's the first thing I bought when I read the news.
Those websites will also follow the same guidelines as steam does.
He's more likely referring to the stores that specifically sell adult games. But the point is the same, the payment processors WILL target them, too, at some point or other. They've already swept through most of the similar sites in Japan -- with only one of them telling them to bugger off.
I think they meant a totally different place and not one that "sells" anything.
I guess it's time for more actual competition, so this oligopoly (one out of many, really) starts to lose power overtime, and be actually democratized
But since we are sharing recs, I super-duper recommend everyone get ButtKnight. It has great graphics and fairly challenging SHMUP gameplay. I r8 8/8.

They don't need to. They give stores a list of keywords that define the content they don't want the store selling. Stores then have to do all the work to remove related content or face not having a payment processor. Most stores do this by focusing on the titles. They look for those which contain any of the keywords, then pull them. Valve also ask for developers to describe the content of their games, so they have that additional information to readily search, too.
Do you think they didn't have the power to tell Valve what to do until Valve put that line into their developer terms?
