Payment Processors/Banks should not have any say in what people spend their money on.
There is only ONE exception. That is if it is illegal stuff/goods. (Insert obvious examples here)

But they should not decide if you can buy porn games or not. Or other stuff. Even if they find it weird. Its not up to them. Its YOUR money. Not theirs.

What is happening opens a scary can of worms. Any opinion. Politics or preference can now be banned. By these payment processors. Its insane. They should not have that power. Im also quite certain that a bank/payment processor. Cannot decide what you spend your money on. I think that is against the law in most countries.

So in a way what is happening is against the law. The first signs of this happening. We saw in japan. And the Japanese government is embroided in a fight with the payment processors now. As Visa. Paypall ect. Wanted to censor anime.

As a Consumer we should start somekind of movement to give awareness to this issue. Like the stop killing games movement.

But yeah. I think everyone can agree that banks or payment processors should by law. Not have any say what anyone spends their money on. (Except for obviously illegal stuff)

They have every say in how they do their business. If Mr Newell or his staff don't like what we say, we get banned or moderated.

Our comments come down, and are forbidden to post, and on his Hubs, even permanently.

That is "his" perogative. As it is Visa's perogative to make THEIR rules.

Steam does not have a verifiable ID system whilst selling adult content.

He can rectify that by coming out with such a device.

He has chosen apparently, to throw the developers under the bus, and have censored your games, because that is what he chose to do.

Not activists, Visa or anyone, but he, or those that sell adult matters without a verifiable id.

Steam users shouldn't have brigaded porn games and gave activist groups their following, but here we are. Consequences of your own actions :steamhappy:

Please research and educate yourself on the situation. The games in question have only been allowed here since 2018. That likely means that Valve held out as long as they could before hosting them. The users wanted them here.

Furthermore, it is not all adult games that were removed, only certain games.
Soooo you want a social policy that creates a law that interferes directly with Laissez-faire. To prevent corporations from dictating the customers purchases?
Sounds great welcome aboard comrade.

Thats why theyre currently into protected mode after getting exposed to the public and getting absolutely destroyed by Savvy who has done plenty of research of them, which ruined their reputation beyond repair and made the backlash towards them skyrocket.

So no, this isnt a win for them, the general public now knows them, and they want them gone.

Its SBI 2.0.

Well, they aren't, actually.

They do have a say in how merchants use their services, though.

You can still spend money on whatever you want. It's just that some items are no longer available on Steam, nor itch.io for that matter anymore. If you can find them for sale elsewhere, feel free to buy them.
They don't. Their loophole is refusing business with platforms which is different than refusing to process your payment for specific products on said platform.

Which is also why people grasping straws like that fair banking act won't work.

Though that propably could be considered extortion of business partners but i'm not a lawyer

They went follower-only on twitter, that's about all I see. And they now have a bigger following and income than they ever had before, also this only one of dozens of accomplishments they've made. They actually can't win any harder. The "general public" literally supported them on several occasions including when steam users specifically gave them 70,000 signatures in ONE day on their petition to remove No Mercy, which worked.

And I'm sure you have lots of evidence to back all that up right?

Just check Savvy's twitter account, shes doing god's work on destroying them.

Even a Japanese Politician took notice of her efforts.

Skimmed it and don't see anything relative. Just post direct links if there is actual evidence. There isn't though, it's a false narrative from a twitter no-namer trying to farm drama.

I already gave you where to look.

I did, there's no proof to back up any of your claims on that page.
