Transferring items shouldn't result in a ban. What type of ban, and what was the reason given for the ban?
In the spirit of fair competition, we've also banned over 75,000 accounts involved in winnings trading, smurfing, and other malicious activities. Dota is generally most fun when all players compete on a level playing field.

P.S. Just to add, I'm using GearUp to boost my latency and remove packet loss. Is that illegal? I don't think so, coz it that's the case, even the old account will be banned.
"3rd party programs"
So, cheating.
Yep, so as said the ban has nothing to do with trading items
The ban wasn't for smurfing. It was for "3rd party programs."
I am using GearUp to remove packet loss. That is the only thing I am using. Is that illegal? Coz if that's the case, even my OLD account should be banned, right? So weird.
No one here can look into what 3rd party program caused the ban and Valve will not tell you which one triggered the ban either.
