[ANSWERED] Can't Launch My Game

I've just got a new game, Cities Skylines, which is my first game that I've downloaded from steam. I haven't played it much yet but now 2 hours of having it and it started doing this thing where the game closes, destroys my save and starts updating steam. I wait for the update to finish and launch it again, and then while its loading it closes again and updates steam AGAIN. It's been doing this nonstop and the only way I've been able to fix it is restarting my pc, and then it lets me play for like 10 minutes and goes back to the same thing. It's annoying because I just payed 12 dollars for this game and can't even play it. Anyone know how to fix it?

I fixed it now, OMEN gaming hub was disabling background recording from steam, and whe it couldn't just stop it it just terminated steam entirely, closing the game and having to relaunch steam, which was it updating. Just disabled OMEN in general.

Yea alot of overlays mess with games. People do not realize that Discord overlay really screws up games. Every once in awhile you see someone complaining on here about why their games do not start, and most of the time, it is a background overlay that is causing it. Even your pc has the xbox overlay. And yes, the discord overlay can screw stuff up...like putting graphical garbage on your screens for games. Mark this forum post as answered. Click the right arrow thing on the post and click "mark as answered".

I always end up turning off all overlays as it fixes this issue usually. Most people do not realize this and blame the games themself for causing it. They are too lazy to actually investigate the actual cause.

Do you have the paradox launcher? It is required to play the game.
