library is a mess
most of steam users have hundreds of games on their libary and the chances that they play all of these games is 0% thats not because they got bored of them most people buy games play them for like 10 hours or 5 hours then forget they bought them and its all steam libary fault
it needs to be organized games that you have installed should be on top of your steam libary and we should be able to sort out each game by hand in library not just adding it to a collection and it just get put in random order if they can add this so please steam we need this

I have over 4000 games and never had a problem finding anything or sorting them.
Its all sorted into collections by genre, the library can be filtered to only show currently installed games + you can favorite games to make them appear at the top.
You make it sound way messier then it really is if you put some effort into organizing it.

I don't have a problem either and I have around 3+ TB of games installed. I find adding my games to collections and keep my favourites in the Favourites collection works perfectly fine for me. I also do have an Installed collection, although sometimes I do forget to put games in there.
Own sorting is something I want, yeah. But that's mostly because I simply want to have certain franchises, which are out of order due to naming differences, in the right order.

Subcollections and customisable flags one can attach to games (akin Outlook flags) would be neat as well.

That said, I have no issue using the library as it is for sorting my games and finding them. I mean, games I'm playing aren't getting "lost" in my library since I favorite them. That collection is always on top.
If people forget they bought a game they were playing for 5-10 hours, that's a people problem, though. Never had that in my life and I've been gaming a long time now.
