I would put the $64 that cost's into a new screen.
You could probably find a monitor second hand with DP for that much, won't be the best screen but I imaging better than the one you have being that old.
Still, probably time to consider an upgrade.
just get a dp cable
Why is there a usb cord to the adapter? Wth
Yeah I did, and true. I'll probably just get the DP cord because I didn't realize my monitor had that lmao, but anyway what would the main differences be with new monitors anyway? Mine is 1080p and 144hz that's all I need. Is there some other factor with monitors I don't know about haha
dp signal is 3.3v, dvi signal is 5v
most dp to hdmi/dvi adapters use the dp 3.3 and boost it to 5v
To be honest I was lazy and didn't google the screen and assumed it was just some old thing, yeah grab a DP cable for sure.
Party's back on!
