EDIT: I actually have another one of the same type but its different color scheme. and it does the same thing. and they are official.
and to clarify the analog stick itself moves just fine, its purely input wise it tends to snap. basically im saying even though im not holding up (perhaps upright or up left a bit) it wants to snap to straight up instead for some reason.
It sounds like standard stick drift then that many controllers develop over time.
In some cases it can be fixed but requires full disassembly what can be difficult or impossible in some cases. I’ve used some YT guides to fix stick drifts on my Sony controllers.
