9 and 10 series GPU, getting their last drivers!
I just read this... it has me wondering how much longer steam is going to keep win 10 going. Is my win 10 comp going off line for good in the near future, I'm guessing yes.

It just shows we really need need to pass some laws to keep security updates going longer. I get not supporting new games and stuff, But the stuff we bought and still should be able to use to suddenly not really does suck. It's win 7 all over again. It's not just about gamers, it's about business that are being tagged with huge E-tax just to have current security, when their software/systems could easily be used for another 10-15 years at least. Especially with the power of computers today.

Does anyone else feel a little sad when support ends for things? It's like taking a 20 year old MMO into the sunset. :wftosad:

Win10 is officially good until at least Jan 2028 BY MICROSOFT folks; stop being tempted by all the push for Win10 EOL for Home/Pro users without security updates beyond Oct 2025; that doesn't hurt those of us who already have working machines with Win10 as far as things like continuing to run our games and use the various game clients such as Steam, EA, UBI, Rockstar.

People are still able to use GTX 9/10 GPUs on Win7/8/10 with Steam all working and games and drivers; while those would be outdated drivers with regards to Win7/8; that's all you need for legacy games or games that don't have a need for users to use the latest drivers for RTX related features and optimizations. Now sure, some games and even clients no longer support Win7/8; such as Steam (for future updates beyond a certain point; but an older Steam Client does work still) and also ones such as EA and Rockstar which simply stopped supporting and working on Win7/8 altogether.
