Nvidia 4060 is better than 5060 based on price alone
Yup, the 5060 is way too expensive for a 15% or so performance gain at best.

What are these people doing?

TIME FOR NEXT GEN!

But 4060 anything is a joke above 1080p in many games.

5060 Ti 16GB right now as we speak goes for starting at $450
That's actually not too bad at all.

Or get AMD 9070 16GB for around $599 right now too.

60 series just bad. also 5000 series bad. dont get 8gb even 12gb vram cards nowadays.

get minumum 16gb vram cards and 70 + series

tbh just get AMD instead. Nvidia is just not price / performance. AI RT overrated. if you play games AMD more than enough and much better price / performance

Is this the same one that runs all new games at 1440p and 4k at upto 100fps with an it 2600k?...

As an upgrade from a 4060 it's not great, from something older its a solid little card, best option for 'budget' though is to push to the 5060 ti 16GB available at £400 it's a great little card.
And when OP says "4060" and "5060" yea which ones exactly cause there is a range of them not just from the basic stand of what NVIDIA puts out, but they can range a bit depending on the exact models from ASUS, MSI; etc.

5060 8GB; yea junk, but so are ALL 4060 GPUs.
Now 5060 Ti 16GB, not bad.

The good deal atm is RX 9060 XT @ $299

The 5060 8GB will run 99.99% of games, handle e sports perfectly while giving you the full nvidia suite of extras, dlss, frame gen and can even run raytracing for like £250, it's far from a bad card if you are on a budget.

It's not what I'd recommend, but it's no where near as bad as people say it is especially those with zero experience of these lower end cards capabilities.
I disagree. It's a decent card and is better than the 4060 primarily thanks to its price. Nvidia cards from 5070 and above are a whole lot better though if you can get them for MSRP prices.
I guess only some of us get to see these 4th of July Sales.... sad
For 300 bucks, its solid. I have one in my backup PC which Im using currently while the other is waiting on a kit of RAM. Transformer model using 20% less vram helps a bit too
How is it good when for $300 you can get 9060 XT, which tears 4060 and 5060 a new butt hole.

No, it's the one that glows in the dark. :steamhappy:

Well the 5060 is £50-70 cheaper and is competing with the 9060 not the xt, it has better upscaling, frame gen and raytracing.

As gir the 9060xt, it's only about 60 bucks off the price of a 5060ti 16GB that beats it.

So I'd say save money or buy the 5060 ti 16GB, the AMD offerings simply don't save enough to give up the nvidia features for the most part.
A 5060 is cheaper then a 9060 XT? Which is $299 right now.... WHAT!?

Always, was, but the 9060xt is competing with the 5060 ti not the 5060.

But, that is nothing new, AMD gpu's haven't been a great option unless there was a notable saving for years.

They need to stop following nvidia and try developing something new, their cpu division has proven to be very capable, shame the sane cannot be said of the gpu's, but atleast they now have the sane capability, even if it is still in second place, for years they just had no answer to nvidias tech.
With the sales going on its hard to beat the 9060 XT for $299 and 9070 or 9070 XT for around $599

9070 and 9070 XT gained some good ground with lateat driver updates

That makes 4060 and 5060 non Ti 16GB a complete joke
