Password Manger
Hi so i have Samsung Phone, and noticed it has "Samsung pass" as a pw manger. i want to know if its safe to use it, according to Samsung its locally stored and encrypted but i don't understand because it has a "sync" option to upload to the Samsung cloud.

Samdung are complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, such that you would do well to trip the knox flag deliberately, since it'll hurt them more than you.

As for password managers, I've always use Keepass. It doesn't sync, but that's a point in it's favor, since network syncing is sheer laziness, and another unnecessary security risk vector.

oh no, im interested in Samsung pass because i have a Samsung phone.
If you use the Samsung Cloud, you've already sold your soul to their proprietary walled garden.

I'm sorry.
Use pencil and paper and store in safe place such as lock box. Never rely on any app or service to hold onto saved passwords such as Google or others.

"according to Samsung its locally stored and encrypted"-------- " it has a "sync" option to upload to the Samsung cloud."

if you fear the worst, use this site at some point in your digital footprints lifetime -------> https://haveibeenpwned.com/

Yes i noticed the sync to Samsung cloud, if i turn OFF the Samsung cloud sync does that mean my data is locally stored?
You CAN disable all forms of online sync backup for things like Samsung and Google like what Google normally syncs for your contacts, phone #s, emails, pictures, videos... you have to learn how to configure everything in your Android device. You do not want to have an online service save your password logins.
