Tips on how to sleep normally again?
...Need help on overcoming constantly staying up on night due to it being bad for my health in the long run and schedule on doing things in life.

Used to work as a overnight worker now I struggle to sleep due to the old habit is hard to change while playing multiple 2-4 hour matches on TF2 2Fort last year cause I wanted to reach a new tier level before the end of the year. (No timer in CTF in casual didn't help in the matters.)

So before I go to sleep after staying up in the morning again.
You guys have any life advice to help me break out of this cycle?

Cause breaking a habit is a hard thing to do when you're used to it and trying to change it due to job changing and most jobs have people working in day time and rarely at night where I live.

...Is this a bad place to discuss this? Cause I'm taking a huge gamble due to places like 4chan and Reddit scare the ever living hell outta me after learning multiple controversial and horrible stories that come from these sites.
...Twitter is hell of a lot worse if you're asking. Because I want to avoid the insanity. Not get inflicted by it even more.

your body has a built-in circadian rhythm it wants to default to, but you can alter this through habits. consistency is key.
4chan and reddit might actually give you good advice on this, but it's also questionable as to where you would ask this on the former, and how easily you could get an account to do so on the latter.
try forcing yourself to go to bed at the time you wish to do so. if you have trouble sleeping, avoid eating 2 hours before you try to go to bed. try some valerian root or melatonin supplements. reading is actually a bad idea before bed, too, i've heard.
Take a hot shower at night, dont look at a screen at all an hour before bed and try reading before you do a book or something relaxing. You could try staying awake as well for a long time then going to sleep 8-10 hours before you want to start waking up regularly as well, that might work. But good luck OP i hope what i said helps or somebody else has a good idea <3 :bluerune::luv:
Don't sleep today, wait until the evening and then you will be really tired.

I didn't know reading was bad lol dont do that then OP, it seems to help me but i could just be weird lol :bluerune::luv:
just wake up in the morning, and do legs at the gym, 3-5 movements, including hacksquat and barbell squat, sets of 8-12 reps, 20-40% 1rm, finish it with 45 mins on the stairmaster at level 4 or as desired.

two rules

no phone, or other distractions.

5 second rest between sets.

if you don't feel like sleeping that night i'll eat this entire can of protein powder without water.

There you go.
be kind to yourself and your body. remove substances and non nourishing foods, let your circadian rhythm return to normal by adhering to schedules. you can succeed, i love you ok? ok? ok. thank you, meat.
If my sleep moves out too far I find it best to not sleep for a day or two and then go to sleep very early in the evening and wake up in the morning. Aim for about 12 hours sleep and it kind of resets you again.

Try not to stay awake for too many days, it can lead to insomnia and that's not good. I had it once for six months, lost all muscle and fat from my body and looked like a skeletal corpse.
Me personally I have a set schedule. I work 10 hour shifts Monday thru Friday with weekends off. For me I always sleep at a certain time. I’ve done this for so long that my body already knows when it’s time to sleep and when it’s time to wake up. I got so good at it that I usually wake up 10 minutes before my alarm sounds. I just have it in case I do oversleep.

With a consistent sleep schedule you’ll feel less groggy and have more energy. I don’t even need to drink coffee anymore but only drink it when I have a big project I gotta do in the morning.
Exercise can help tire you out but as others say, enforcing a correct rhythm will get you back into the swing of things.

(I used to work in nightclubs)

I feel ya, suffer diagnosed insomnia, so, that is a pain. Correcting the rythm is probably the best solution together with good diet, excercise, and some faith too maybe if you are religious.
Be active at day, and try to be less active in the evening.

Exercises, or even simply going for a walk is good enough.
Oddly enough, if you're tired in the middle of the day, going for a walk actually helps for that too.

And if you have to, just put an alarm up in the evening, and actually quit your game when it goes off. lol. It's real easy to lose track of time when you're having fun.

Either way, you kind of have to make your body used to being awake at daytime and at rest at night.
maybe 3 watt red light bulbs for 6pm onwards.
I would say get an alarm clock and force yourself up at a certain time. Keep going until you adjust correctly.
