Stolen Child Account
Has anyone had any success in obtaining back control of a child's account? My son's account was hijacked, all settings were changed, and we lost access. The user unfortunately did not see that this was part of a family account, so I can see the user name and go to the changed profile. I should have had a few more controls, but I did not set them up at the time. I just want back control because of the games he collected under that account.

Contact steam support, if you have enough info they'll fix things for you

Think you have to be over 13 to use steam, if they are under that age you might have a harder time.

You might want to do a malware and virus scan as well, your kid most likely went to 3rd part websites, and shared his info, who knows what could of been installed on your computer during that time.

Do you have any proof of ownership?

Steam Account Recovery

It is possible to recover a stolen Steam account. You don't need access to the email, phone or password currently tied to the stolen account for this to work.

The recovery process allows you to contact Steam Support to provide proof of ownership.
