Ascension is the lore of a modern day world, [2015], however, things changed.

In the beginning of time, there was a bang. What scientists theorize, was the Big Bang, however it was the collaboration to create life by two gods,

The God of Death and Harvest, Sheol

The God of Life and Creation, Rhea

On the world of Earth, all humans have two parts to their creation, a soul and a body. Without a soul, the body would be lifeless, and without a body, the soul would have nothing to occupy. On certain occasions, certain souls harvested by Sheol come to Rhea compacted, able to hold more life energy that powers a soul.

This soul, having more life energy than the amount needed to support a living being, uses the excess permanently for a power. Whatever that power is, is random. These powers abide by the laws of science, and the people with these powers are named 'Supernaturals.'

That is not the only way to receive a power. One who follows religion and truly believes in a religions ethics, will receive a power. This person, not having an expanded soul like supernaturals, are overflowing with life energy granted by a fake God that Rhea subconsciously creates. These people with non-expanded souls and overflowing life energy, are called 'Magicals.' In magic, however, overflowing with life energy, too much is bad. Magicals will suffer physical and mental blowbacks. However, magicals will be given powers that don't have to abide by science.

Enter the world of uncertainty and death. Of feigning life, and creation.
