Report a translation problem
(Note: I only bothered uploading 1 .vta (the one I tested on today), and every flex of the model is a different .vta, because the author of the files decided to do it that way.)
(Note 2: The .smd has weightmaps with more than 2 bones influencing most vertices. Sure, it can import, but don't expect a .dmx export directly, if you'd try that.)
Even if you can't compile the DMX because of the bone influences it's worth using it to transfer data between programs/people for the stability and speed gains.
