Error trying to export a model?

I opened a cosmetic, attempted to remove a small part of the model I don't want in my movie, and I got this error when trying to export as DMX and SMD. What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it?

Found out the problem. Apparently source tools were outdated, so I needed to uninstall and reinstall them. I thought just installing them was enough, but I need fo remove the original when installing the new
