[SOLVED]Unable to write QC compile to SD card on Steam Deck.
Hello! Due to odd circumstances, I am using a Steam deck for blender modeling.

I haven't had any issues so far with exporting my SMDs and such, but I cannot QC compile my project. Whenever I do, I get the error:
Error opening E:\GarrysMod\garrysmod\models/props\tumbler.mdl! (Check for write enable)

I'm using a windows version of Garry's Mod on my SD card for the compilation, since the Deck itself has the Linux version without studiomdl.exe. While I can compile it without Blender on another machine, I would rather be able to make, export, compile, and test on the same machine. What do I do?

So, I finally found the problem. I, the user, didn't have permission to modify the garrysmod folder.

As I said, I have a windows copy of Garry's mod on my SD card for compilation. The problem was that I copied it over from another device, so I wasn't the owner of that folder. Furthermore, no-one BUT the owner had permission to modify it either.

What I ended up doing was copying the contents of my SD card to a folder on the desktop (making me the owner of those files), formatting my SD card through steam, and moving everything back over.

Linux file permissions cause me so many problems...
