By order of the Governor of the Crown Colony of Virginia,

The Colony's militia is hereby ordered to be raised in Williamsburg. Due to rising unrest on the frontier and some civil disobience in the Colony's capital city, I hereby order that Colonel Richard Lee raise the Colony's militia. All officers are required to report to Williamsburg within the next 30-days to recieve their orders.

Indians have continued to harass farmers and traders alike on the frontier. Crime and corruption has began to rise in Williamsburg because of the discontent from the frontier. We must act to protect our citizens and our land. I have written to the King to request that a regiment of regulars be dispatched from Jamaica to assist with the Colony's protection. The regiment and a fleet of small warships will arrive in next two months. The warships will be used to patrol the rivers and to ferry troops where they need to be.

I would also like to request that the House of Burgesses propose a bill to allot monies for the construction of several frontier forts. I will leave it to them to work out the figures and resource requirements of this bill.
