You probably just need to edit the material path a tad, so that both models aren't looking in the same location. Apologies if I backtrack a bit here, but I did not think about any material problems earlier.

First, go back to the .QC. We're gonna need to edit it again, and change the $cdmaterials. We need to update them so they differ from canon Louis. This should work: https://pastebin.com/VQYUeziD

Then, compile again, and move that newly compiled model to your custom folder, where the former version resides.

Now, go to your custom folder you made, where your beta Louis is, and go into the materials folder, models, and in there, create a folder called "original", and put the "survivors" folder in there.

Lastly, which may be the most tedious part, is you're going to need to open each .VMT you see, and where it says "models/survivors/manager" or "models/survivors", you'll need to place an "original" in between the "models" and "survivors", so it looks like either "models/original/survivors/manager" and/or "models/original/survivors/", and then save.

Sounds tedious, I know, but the alternate way is to edit the model in a 3d model program, which if you don't have any/just a little knowledge in, will be even more frustrating.

I hope those instructions were clear, if not feel free to ask for clarification. Good luck!
