Um...I've never seen that error before. Did you alter the .QC at all?

Why did you block out $modelname? I think you need that. Get rid of the // in front of $modelname.

Try this, or also extracting the Jockey animation files from the models/infected, and put them with the rest of the files.

Try creating a folder somewhere (on desktop, for example), and name it "jockey", or something. Then, go to where you went (the pak01.dir), and under models/infected extract the jockey.mdl, jockey.dx90.vtx, jockey.phy, and jockey.vvd to the folder. Then go to the folder, and decompile the .mdl file. It should work.

And you extracted them from Left 4 Dead 2? Hmm...I'll see if I'm able to extract them.

Edit: I was able to decompile the Jockey just fine. Make sure that the .mdl, dx90.vtx, .phy, and .vvd are all in the same place when you're trying to decompile.

Well, your Crowbar looks fine to me. Did you just extract the .mdl file, and nothing else? Like, do you have a .vvd, .phy, .vtx, or dx90/80 files where you have the .mdl file?

Can you show us a screenshot of of what Crowbar looks like when you're trying to decompile?

No problem. You could try rigging the model to another skeleton, like I said earlier, but I completely understand if you wouldn't want to try again right now. Nice models too, especially the robot one. That one looked like it turned out nicely. The derpy Bowser is hilarious!

Like I said, it loooks fine in pose mode with the weight painting. All be it, it was diffuclt to weight. But here is a one thing. In attempt one, I resized, shrunk, the skeleton to fit the model. Then in attepmt 2 i resized, grew, the modelto fit the skeleton. may be that or a .qc problem.

It's the .QC then, I think. If you altered the skeleton at all, then the $definebone lines are out of date, leading to your warpy demon model (I've had so many of those ).

There's supposed to be some way to get the new $definebone data in Crowbar, but I haven't had much luck with it. It always makes the wrists and/or ankles warped ( Example [imgur.com]). I could be missing something, somwhere, but I've researched this pretty well, and have found no way to get the correct $definebone data. I'm sure there is a way, though.

I usually just rip a skeleton from another model (another playermodel I've made, or a HL2 one), and do not alter it at all. You can still weight paint it pretty well, in most cases, and it turns out alright.
