V_ part is always involved in animating. You want to either append c_arms onto view model, or keep as separate skeleton and mesh which bone constrained to view model.

Crowbar version: 0.71

Crowbar can't load gif images produced by gifsicle despite workshop being fine with them.

I converted video using ffmpeg with this Bash code:


Normally they are accepted by Crowbar fine, provided that they do not exceed 10Mb limit.

On my case, I had to optimize it further to reduce size:


Crowbar doesn't accept it. The trick I used to upload is to first drag ffmpeg gif, then rename it, rename gifsicle gif to original name, then press Publish.
Worked fine, gif works on workshop page.

ffmpeg version: 5.0
Gifsicle version: 1.93

Steps Taken:
1.) Add new L4D2 item for publishing
2.) Drag and drop gif file for preview image

Expected:
Crowbar accepts it

Issues:
Made possible only after swapping gif file

reduce poly count

What changed:

removed some values. They are set by default. Improves readability
removed scale. It's 1 by default
removed $bodygroup "Collection". You did already include "body" "mymodel_1.smd", why duplicate it? It was also typed wrong
Removed $animation. You are already defined sequences further, and you did these wrong
Fixed $sequence's. Removed fps 30, 30 is default value. You also forgot closing brackets '}'. Also made one liners. If you plan to add $sequence parameters, you can either add them to same line or add them in { } brackets further for text readability.
