Egg's Vanilla Server

As some of you already know, we are releasing our long-awaited server revamp tomorrow, July 4, 2020, at 2 PM PDT, 3 PM MDT, 4 PM CDT, and 5 PM EDT. The reason we have chosen July 4 is simple. It is the anniversary of Egg's Gmod Server. Tomorrow will mark the fourth anniversary of Egg's Gmod Server.

We have poured countless hours into creating this revamp and we hope that you will come join us tomorrow and enjoy it with us.

One of the core features of this newly revamped server is to be able to join fast and start playing. That's why we have devised a solution that allows players to join in under a minute! Upon your first time joining, you will have to wait about 1 minute 20 seconds. Any time after that, you will only be waiting about 41 seconds! This is a massive improvement from the join time observed on Egg's Gmod Server.

Many addon cuts had to be made to make this possible though. While we have kept a good chunk of our most used addons, we had to get rid of some addons. I know this may be disappointing to some, but this was a necessary change. However, with all of the new content we have spent hours and hours creating, I hope you all will enjoy the revamped server!

The new server will be named Egg's Vanilla Server. (No, it is not actually fully vanilla.)

The new server will retain the same IP address as our old server to allow for an easy transition.
