welp the downfall was clearly a lack of interest by everyone

with the new hfdl came new people as well and a renewed interest

You've left and rejoined HFDL pretty often back in the day. But the last straw was around 20th March 2019. You can still scroll back to around that time and read all of it yourself to avoid biased story.
Long story short, some members were dissatisfied with the way you did as an admin which drove you to left for a long period of time. After that, people gradually left one by one for various or untold reasons, until HFDL became deserted and thus HFDL:Reloaded was born.

But I suggest to just let bygones be bygones.

It would be awkward to go into details here since it also means name names, moreover archiving it. But well, everything that happened that lead to your leaving and the gradual downfall of HFDL is still there in the server around 20-22th March 2019. A few months after that, Canis left but also made an announcement stating the reason. Then the rest just simply left because they lost interest me thinks.

I'm not sure if you took book of true facts meme threads seriously or misinterpreting Apples intention as trying to archive 'joke facts'. GR is the standard 2 letter country abbreviation of Greece. People add it in their username to indicate that they're from Greece (even though Waylander is actually a filthy croissant agent sent by the Germans to collect debts).

That's the summarized version. I think we might be forgetting most of the beginning.

Uhh, yeah it was basically loss of interest but also the drama/toxicity that both Phreya and Waylander weren't that involved in. Pyramid joined and left 10 seconds after he joined because someone called him gay? So he can't really say much either. It was pretty much shitstorm after shitstorm for the mods and admins. That's the blow that did it for me. I left after Angelo banned someone for a dumb reason, can't remember why tho. Wasn't a big deal but there wasn't much to gain staying in the server.

But I do gotta wonder if shitstorms are common in discord servers, at least in the administrative rank? On steam no one rules this group. You can say whatever you want and it's mostly shitposts so no one takes each other seriously. Something about the forum format really mellows shit down. It's almost never a direct chat with someone. Here, the only 'enemies' are the occasional troll like norbii or rochi which I am kinda missing. Only when the Discord was created did the drama shit start over here too.
