I'm going to try bumping this because some of my "mature" mods were recently stolen.
But there has been a lot of other "mature" content uploaded over the years.
Perhaps some of us are still curious about the rules even after all of this time...

We all sincerely hope moderation can improve in the future.
Beta's workshop also has a lot of stolen content.
Please try to return some time and attention to the Left 4 Dead 2 Workshop.
Some of us might still remember what it was like back then...
You'd report something, it might take a few days at most, but it'd get handled.
And you'd also get a follow up email as a show of appreciation!

I do believe the "beta" has been public for a while now for anyone who owns L4D2.
Check around your tools and games tabs in Steam for it and its authoring tools.
They don't seem to have updated any of them for a while now.
As you can see from dates on stuff here, we used to use this for private testing.
For example, "Beta" used to be where Linux support and Workshop had private testing.
"Beta" and regular used to be mirror images and had all the same updates.
However, now the regular appears to be more up to date and "beta" some time in 2013.

You have to split and upload it into "parts".
Try asking that Rayman guy... he always knows things.
I know we have a discussion some where here explaining how to do that.

Saw two downloads today at around 12:20 PM (Eastern Standard).
Beta authoring tools over 600 MB.
L4D2 beta 18.5 MB.
Hopefully no more "Steam servers are too busy" and "error code 2" messages.

Was just curious because after I saw the download that day I didn't see a Kerry topic.

Hope they're not closing it down... I love the concept of it...
Using it for a testing grounds for stuff before pushing out to normal L4D2...
And the only stats it remembers are playing time, like old games back in the day.
Find myself playing and enjoying it more over the regular lately, ha ha.

Recent 7.5 mb update yesterday (or day before)...
"Steam servers are too busy to handle your request" and "error code 2"?
Confirmed also by Rayman and one more friend of his.

A few days ago, Steam downloaded a 7.5 mb update for L4D2 beta.
I let it go until today because I was busy...
So now when I try to launch the game, a brief "completing installation" message shows...
Then it gives another message claiming "servers are too busy" and "error code 2".
Rayman and one more friend of his are getting this as well.
How about the rest of you?
Was there supposed to be a legit update but something bad happened?

This seems to be happening again for some users but with publishing new files.
"Error code 16, failed to publish" or something very similar.
Yet the Workshop is still active with new content... yet some people can't upload.
