Re-lighting BSP maps
Hey guys,

I`m playing around with ported to SFM dota 2 maps and for me it seems much better when there is no default light at all. I mean I wish I could setup entire scene starting with purely black screen. Maybe I could turn it down in Hammer or somehow else (kill HDR link)? Please advise. Thanks!

I JUST did this with a tf2 MVM map by decompiling it with BSPSource (http://www.ata4.info/bspsrc/downloads.html) then opening it in hammer. Once it was open in hammer I went around and deleted the lights I did not want. After that I found the light_environment entity and removed that which made the scene 100% where there were no lights.

Hope that helps... not sure how hammer works with dota 2 maps.

Yeah, that's what I do to light the whole map dynamically, should be the same with any bsp.
