I know there is a genious in this group somewhere than has figgured out how to make custom ik rigs. I'm asking... no, I'm begging you to please at least atempt to make a tutorial on how to do it. I have quite a few models with more than 2 legs or 2 arms or with a lot more joints than the basic human models ant would require more than one elbow ot knee controler (at least I think they would, I don't know because I know absolutly nothing about ik rigging).

At the very least, could somebody try and go on to the Source Devloper Wiki and make their IK rig tutorial in bloody english?

If its not too much trouble, I'd like a tutorial on how to make a semi-realistic walking animation using the graph editor, I just can't seem to get good results. Other things like how to make characters turning around (Legs moving realistically, ect.) and stuff along those lines would be great too.

ANY tutorials regarding overlay effects. For example, I really want to be able to have my grain overlay fade out, not just be ON/OFF.

@darjshifter - look up Thomas Larson, he is a pro animator and I remember Zach saying he recommended him too.

Any type of guide that would help cover muzzle flashes in the SFM better would be grand :3 As it is there is very little info on it.

I need a tutorial about the particle system editor, if that's possible (I'm specifically searching for the way to do the little lights from Bad Medicine at 0:29)

I really need a tutorial on removing body parts. With that I mean, for example, removing the spy's body so only the head is left for a scene where the medic talks with his spy head. I would highly appreciate it if anyone could help me.

I would appreciate a particle creating tutorial. I mean legitimate creation from scratch, not editing. Like the starry sky particle that was used in "Bad Medicine". Thanks to anyone that can assist me.

Any tutorial on how to create walk cycle like the sequences Valve created? When I make a sequence threw 3ds max, mine only goes from A to B for the distance I animated it at.. So how is it that the A to B cycle Valve created go on for what seems like forever.. This would be great help to me.

I think Zachariah's new grass particle tutorial explains what you want. Link

Thomas Larson did pretty good with this walking tutorial. At least it helped me a lot.

I'm doing some "beginner" style animations and am using custom models. for some of these models, the "root transform", or atleast the point which the graph editer modifies relative to, is not in the centre. therefore, when I try to have the object roll or spin, the whole object rotates around a point at the extremity of the object, rather than the centre.

In this specific case, it is a simple ball prop, where the root transform is located on the circumfrance of the ball rather than the centre. Rotation is applied around that point, as if the ball is rotating around that point. Obviously this makes a rolling animation in its current state a bit difficult.

Is there some obvious method that i'm missing? I feel like this could be a fairly common "problem" that people solve.
