1. ANY good animation will take a solid amount of time. Your best bet to learn how the SFM works is to watch Zachariah Scott's tutorials and official Valve tutorials. Learning animation in general can be achieved through different chanels and websites across the internet as well.

2. Animation/working programs usually requite a pretty hefty rig to use.

3. What you're referring to is possibly ambient occlusion doing its work. AKA soft shadows, they apply... well, soft shadows in the final render. This is very intensive for a computer, however, and it's best you disable it by right clicking your viewport and ticking render settings.

Using Tonemapscale doesn't actually affect the map, it only affects the camera's brightness. When you're tuning it down, the map's only darker to your perspective and in turn makes EVERYTHING ELSE darker as well. The fireworks will not glow on a daytime map.

If you want a darker map, then you'll have to decompile it in Hammer, remove lighting, and recompile it for SFM. However, there are some pre-compiled TF2 maps on the SFM workshop, if you're interested.

From the looks of the files you listed, those certainly aren't viruses. However, if your malware's giving it some flak, try investigating into it.
