Suspicious reviews under games from Gaming Factory
Today I found that Slavic Punk Oldtimer went from "mixed" rating to "mostly positive" which seemed weird, because it has been in that "mixed" range for quite some time and after reading some reviews I found that there are (relatively) a lot of accounts that are posting positive reviews under the same games, usually with low playtime - around 2h or less. All of said games come from the same publisher - Gaming Factory, and a lot of them are written in very similar manner, which makes me believe that they might be either bought or influenced. I have made a list of the accounts I've noticed:

the sad part is that "slavic punk" looks kinda competent(at least deserving of a mixed rating) but as soon as devs/publishers engage in review manipulation, I lose all interest - and I imagine I'm not the only one... so in the end review manipulation might actually hurt them more than if they had just played it straight.

not sure why Valve is making this hard on themselves by banning just the reviews instead of the accounts though:steamfacepalm:

adopt a fucking zero-tolerance policy with this stuff ffs! you've got literally nothing to lose by banning bot accounts.

Yeah, they will just create more fake Steam accounts and throw up more GPT reviews. Cut off one head and another two take its place, etc.

As we're seeing with ImperiumGame/GalesCorp and Atomic Fabrik, both back on Steam with multiple developer accounts.
