can't speak to gameplay as I own neither game and the "my city"-guy has removed interface stuff from his videos/media.

Yes, you are right. I think too, that this are the same assets. My monitor is not the best, thats why i asked for the gog screenshot.

no problem, the issue is the low quality screenshots on the steam page - it's hard to see the exact details. I think there's also a couple of smaller colours swaps.

other assets that are the same:

small/large boats
watch/guard towers(?)
coastline
spear/shield warriors

etc. etc.
