didnt mean to show him as "far more evil as hat" at any point, just highlighted the overall situation - dev has officially announced that there wont be any non-windows bugfixes from now on, so if some bug will make game unplayable for non-windows users - well, rip these customers

TLDR: "to refund or not belong to valve (e.g most likely people who bought it on release wont be able to refund, coz more than 2 weeks has passed), updates may come but nobody will test if they work on non-windows os and devs wont fix non-windows bugs".

TLDR:

Unfortunately, both Linux and Mac have proven very difficult for us to work with. Forager will no longer be available for Mac and Linux moving forward. Any plans to bring the game to Mac have now officially been canceled.

Why did I bring it there? Well, coz while mac port was only "in plans" - linux version existed already and people has paid for it. I think, its first time when I see developer dropping support of some port after its release. And thats something, you shouldnt see normally - because, again, people has paid for it, its not free game. And now they will be unable to do it anymore.

Its unclear if dev will offer extensive refunds for such cases, but situation itself is shady enough to mention it

for me, "ignore creator" (or "ignore curator") button doesnt even work properly - most of the time, it responses with error "cant ignore creator, you already follow" (while Im not. And dont follow any of their games. And dont even own any. And never did). Surprisingly, it only worked correctly for "big" creators such as THQ Nordic (tested out of curiosity), but never for small indies (not just asset flippers, but in general)

Even screenshots from store page contains slightly recolored sprites of cards from StS, with completely copied descriptions. After questions, dev of RBQ has confirmed that his game "feature characters from StS". Im unsure if its legal, but assets theft is 100% not (especially since, if I remember correctly, they werent paid third party assets or something under creative commons, but artworks drawn exclusively for slay the spire)

SDL is a multimedia library, many games use (begining with Dwarf Fortress and ending with Starbound). Recently, bunch of vurneabilities were discovered, that allow attacker to execute remote code by using some special-flavored image (sause - https://blog.talosintelligence.com/2019/07/vulnerability-spotlight-SDL-PCX-RCE-vulnerabilities-july-19.html ). And the problem is - while SDL itself has been already patched, there are many old games, which wont receive updates anymore, so - this security hole will stay unfixed.
Theoretically, if people play them without third party addons, they should be fine. But since nowadays installation of QoL mods to fix bugs or get new features is kinda common - who knows how many people may get affected?

I dunno if it fits the idea of this curator, but I kinda felt like it was worth to post this - especially since it doesnt seem like anybody aside from people subscribed to sdl's mailing list or some security-related blogs knows about it
